Pastry chefs are chefs that mainly do the dessert part of cooking. Pastry chefs should learn how to work with all kinds of dough. Pastry chefs make a lot of things such as breakfast rolls or croissants and other desserts like ice cream, doughnuts, cakes, pies, churros, ect. they work in places such as bakeries, restaurants, markets, hotels, and sometimes even theme parks. They begin there days very early they can start baking at 3 or 4am. They make between $10.06 and $14.79 per hour on and average. In total it comes out between $23,773 and $40,698 per year as of 2010. To become a pasrty chef you have to have great pesentation,and organization. You have to know how to put products together to make a final product. You have to follow steps such as how much quantity and the order of things. They also work long hours and are mostly on thier feet.
